Painting Holidays In Andalusia, Spain

Our first painting tours are to beautiful Andalusia in the far south of Spain.  It’s a wonderful sun drenched landscape where the mountains meet the sea.  The light and colours are amazing and this region has long been the haunt of artists.  Infact Picasso himself was born and bred in Andalusia.

Our tours are fully immersive, we want you to experience the culture and flavour of the country.  Our first tours are tours for painters of any level who want the time and space to let their painting skills flourish!

We stay in a beautiful Moorish house in the traditional hilltop village of Sorvilán on the edge of the Alpujarra.  Sorvilán is an amazing place, nestling in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, surrounded by groves of Almond Trees, it is wonderfully peaceful and tranquil.  It is the perfect place to escape from the modern world and give yourself the time and space to paint.

Our tour is overseen by a Fenella Beauchamp, a professional artist with 30 years experience, who takes you to several breathtaking locations, including the  Alhambra in Granada, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Jewel in the Crown of the Moorish Architecture in Andalusia.

You will get to paint, a chance to improve your techniques, a chance to immerse yourself in a foreign culture & a chance to meet like minded people, all in a fun atmosphere. But it’s not all about the painting, you will also enjoy home cooked Andalusian &  Spanish dishes, the chance to explore the local area & the chance to meet some of the local artistic community, who have settled in Sorvillan from all over the World.

In the evenings we have an itinery of social events, including folk music, film evenings and the chance to sit down and socialise with your fellow guests in our own intimate cellar bar.  There are also activities available for non painting partners, such as visiting the nearby towns, going to the local beach & even visiting the local buddhist monastery!
